She is best known for playing the role of Tapasya Thakur (Tappu) in the popular television soap opera, "Uttaran" on Colors. She has acted in many B grade movies before shifting to television. She has also acted in Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Manipuri and Bhojpuri movies.
